Reply to "Tivec: what is the lowest possible stable orbit around Earth if i use MJ PVG to launch?"
<queqiao-->
<Clayel> circular or eccentric?

<Tivec> i'm fine with eccentric
<queqiao-->
<Tivec> also, i need some form for high earth orbit (can be eccentric) that is stable over at least a year. low inclination (~5 since i launch from kourou)
<queqiao-->
<Butcher> Most earth orbits are fairly stable. How stable do you need?
<queqiao-->
<Butcher> Are we talking stable as in won't crash into the atmosphere or stables as in minimal changes to orbital parameters?
<queqiao-->
<Tivec> well, i had an orbit that was ~239800 x 300km, and that was stable for 63 days, but on day 64 i slammed earth 😄
<queqiao-->
<Tivec> but i am guessing that the high orbit caused the moon to interfere?
<queqiao-->
<Tivec> hmm, if i have a contract that calls for an eccentricity of < 0.005, so pretty much circular, is it the KER/MJ readouts I would look at, or principia's orbit analysis?
