<queqiao--> <Pimiento> First time doing Molniya orbits with Principia. Is "-0.18 Nodal precession" a reasonable value for a Molniya orbit, or should I try to increase the periapsis to reduce that drift to something lower. Right now my orbit is aprox 200x40k. Thanks. https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/480397772248580098/1386461647962374164/image.png?ex=6859ca88&is=68587908&hm=99422b254ce3ac74b81a571074a1aab04698071eeaa5f6c43e4c10ab9e5245d3&
<queqiao--> <ezsnack> Molinya has a very specific period of half a sidereal day, are you even in the correct inclination? :v
<queqiao--> <Pimiento> yeah, 63.4, and 11h 57m 58.4s
<queqiao--> <Al₂Me₆> Picture of the trajectory in ECEF? If it is correct the analyser will describe it as semisynchronous
<queqiao--> <Pimiento> I closed the simulation already. But yeah, it was. I just wonder what is a good periapsis to reduce drift, and if -0.18 is a good value, or should I try to reduce it further.
<queqiao--> <GoForPDI (less drag=more faster)> I think the usual periapsis for a Molniya orbit is about 500-600km?
