egg changed the topic of #principia to: Logs: https://esper.irclog.whitequark.org/principia | <scott_manley> anyone that doubts the wisdom of retrograde bop needs to get the hell out | https://xkcd.com/323/ | <egg> calculating the influence of lamont on Pluto is a bit silly…

<Kalpyy> Constant that shows up when dealing with electrical and magnetic fields, from what I know from high-school electrostatics

<Oswald> Okay yeah cannot add manuevor I planned to manuvear node
<queqiao-->
<Nazfib> Are you looking for the "Show on navball" checkbox? It appears when you've unlocked maneuver nodes; in RP-1 this is locked behind mission control and tracking station upgrades (I believe one level of each, but it may be two).

<queqiao-->
<Oswald> yes omg thank you, thats so dumb on me, im UPGRADING my tracking station rn
<queqiao-->
<Clayel> definitely adding this to FAQ
<queqiao-->
<egg> It is in the concepts page already
<queqiao-->
<egg> Well, it is right there. What it takes to unlock patched conics is unclear.
<queqiao-->
<egg> But since the best we have right now is "one or two levels of some upgrades", that is not exactly clear enough that to add to documentation.
<queqiao-->
<sichelgaita> We should remove "this may change". Everything may change, it's not giving useful information.
<queqiao-->
<egg> The names of the colours are definitely out of date.
<queqiao-->
<egg> (they are correct elsewhere in the document.)
<queqiao-->
<egg> argh, the placehold.it images no longer work
<queqiao-->
<egg> ah, moved to placehold.co
<queqiao-->
<Oswald> yall are the goats tysm for answering all the noisy questions
<queqiao-->
<ezsnack - booster tank apologist> does it cost less to capture at pluto in principia since you feel the gravity field from both pluto and charon so bigger oberth effect? :v
<raptop>
Oh, uh, it probably should if you're going into a circumbinary orbit. But also, you might not save much in general given the system's low mass (and distance that would encourage a very non-Hohmann transfer)
