egg changed the topic of #principia to: Logs: https://esper.irclog.whitequark.org/principia | <scott_manley> anyone that doubts the wisdom of retrograde bop needs to get the hell out | https://xkcd.com/323/ | <egg> calculating the influence of lamont on Pluto is a bit silly…

<Rad - LR-87 fanatic> Does Principia’s maneuver node planner not know about mass loss?
<queqiao-->
<Rad - LR-87 fanatic> I had a maneuver with a really low thrust engine on a rather large stage, and the values were completely off
<queqiao-->
<Rad - LR-87 fanatic> If it assumes constant mass, that would explain the problem I had
<queqiao-->
<Nazfib> It does. It uses the initial mass, and thrust and specific impulse of all active engines, all measured at the time that you create the flight plan, to calculate the mass during each burn.
<queqiao-->
<Rad - LR-87 fanatic> Wonder why it gave me such weird values then. Odd, I’ll try updating later today
<queqiao-->
<Rad - LR-87 fanatic> Oh yeah, the version I’m using is 5 months out of date. I didn’t realize it had been that long since I started this save
<queqiao-->
<pastaya> has anyone else ran prinicpia on nixos?
<queqiao-->
<pastaya> how do you make prinicpia load prinicpia.so in nixos?
<queqiao-->
<pastaya> the only thing i could find was issue #4024
<queqiao-->
<pastaya> ive tried using the steam linux runtime but it wouldnt work
<queqiao-->
<pastaya> if anyone wants to run this mod on nixos they must use proton for that
