<queqiao--> <Tivec> hmm, so, do i understand this right... for a Venus transfer, I create the manouvre in the ECI plotting frame, and then switch to the VSO plotting frame?
<queqiao--> <Tivec> I can't quite understand why I should create the manouvre in ECI though
<queqiao--> <ezsnack> The manouvering frame defaults to the selected reference frame so what you said pretty much, also i dont reccommend using vso because its laggy af compared to vci
<queqiao--> <Tivec> can i change the frame of the node?
<queqiao--> <Tivec> oh right, yes
<queqiao--> <Tivec> i see that now
<queqiao--> <Tivec> good enough for a first attempt (simming of course, infinite fuel and all that jazz, clamps didn't work to keep the boiloff...) https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/480397772248580098/1365566158207582349/image.png?ex=680dc617&is=680c7497&hm=80e27340d20d608947168e7c5f2ba059a94c76705085b753bea4ffec6f28f7c2&
<queqiao--> Reply to "Tivec: can i change the frame of the node?"
<queqiao--> <ezsnack> Thats what maneuvering frame is
<queqiao--> <Tivec> got it

<queqiao--> <ezsnack> They dont keep it but they refikm it once you are done warping through principia

<queqiao--> <Tivec> maybe i didn't wait long enough before (ch)yeeting myself into orbit
<queqiao--> <ezsnack> You can rail warp a few hours to speed up the process
<queqiao--> <Tivec> right. well, now i know 😄
<queqiao--> <Tivec> also, i find the UI of hyperedit easier to work with for setting an initial orbit, does it work at all with principia or is it death and destruction?
<queqiao--> <ezsnack> Never used it but you would still need to enable hack gravity
<queqiao--> <Tivec> oh, so that is why I can't change my orbit properties
<queqiao--> <Tivec> it flips me to the first orbit i select 😄
<queqiao--> <Tivec> heh, i think i need to have a bit more in my tanks than the node is planned to take, or i have the boiloff in the time until i can get the node finicked into place 😄
<queqiao--> <ezsnack> You can plot with the game paused :v
<queqiao--> <Tivec> oh that should help

<queqiao--> <Stocky> sim trying to layout a few sats in orbit
<queqiao--> <Stocky> how do you see where your target vessels position is going to be at your AP? Trying to lay them out as close to 90 degrees separation as possible but im not seeing any indication of where my target satellite will be when i hit my apoapsis
<queqiao--> <UndeckedTrash87> Any ideas as to why MJ refuses to orient towards the node? I've gotten this payload to the moon with this TLI stage before, but whether MJ actually points the craft correctly or throttle's up is super inconsistent, so if there's something I'm doing wrong please let me know!

<queqiao--> <egg> Use the target frame if you want to look at your trajectory relative to the target. Then the target does not move, so it is where it is, and you just steer your own trajectory to where you want it relative to where the target is.

<queqiao--> <Jakathan> Looks like you only have 2 RCS blocks, so you don't have any yaw authority. Not a Principia problem, it's a craft design problem
<queqiao--> <ezsnack> technically 2 is 45 deg 2 way blocks is all you need for full authority, he must have placed them on the com...
<queqiao--> <Jakathan> They look pretty dang near the CoM to me

<queqiao--> <UndeckedTrash87> Thanks for the advice! I'll definitley change it for future TLI stages. Managed to get this one to orient correctly after a restart so thankfully no time lost.
